[Castle Crashing the Beard HD]

Fantastic, everything game design wise is quite polished and robust. Everything has a causative reason and can be maneuvered around with memory and practice making the game play reward good performance. On top of that the art, music, sfx, and voice acting all fit very well and compliment the game. The music in particular is worth mentioning because it doesn't get grating after the dozen or so tries one will give to 100% the game. That leads to the only gripe: the beard attack is difficult to work around. It has no indication and has a indistinct hit-box. There is a pattern you can follow, but if Tom Fulp moves across the screen erratically enough you can lose that pattern easily and be forced to dodge and wait for the beard attack. This would not be an issue if not for the final achievement requiring no damage to be taken. Perhaps the waiting aspect could be considered part of the difficulty of getting the achievement, but I see it as the only scuff on a well polished game. Overall, fantastic game, cannot wait to see what those involved work on next.
